Golf Camp!

The kids had a golf camp this last week at Logan River and they had a blast. We had a few really cold days but for the most part it was a great week. The kids were so tough and they played so well. Out of about 60 kids Conner won an award for the longest and straightest drive and Taygan won the chipping and putting contest. Way to go guys!! Tanner was a little upset that he didn't win too, but we'll get em next time..Right Tanner?!

Tanner man has a mean swing.

This shot was priceless...He's so dang tiny but he was determined to carry his own clubs.

Tay is such the cute little golfer. Today was the only day Tay didn't get to sport her cute little golf outfit. She was mortified that she had to wear sweats.

Nice follow through Tay baby...

Conner is my cautious kid....sized up every shot and would not swing if he could see anyone in front of him. He even had to lecture Tay and Tanner a few times about golf etiquette.

Nice swing buddy...look how straight that ball is going. The kid is a natural.

Yes...so this is what Maxxy did to occupy his time while the kids golfed....CHASED THE DUCKS....

He was relentless...these poor ducks couldn't get away.

And still chasing the ducks. When the ducks finally got away....

...Maxxy chased balls. He thought that the balls were supposed to stay in this neat pile so when the kids hit them he'd run to try and get them to replenish his pile.

Happy Birthday Aunt Shauna!!

This is my cute sister-in-law Shauna and today is her Birthday so we just wanted to say:

Happy, Happy Birthday Shauna!

We Love you sooo much and hope you have a great day. We posted some of our favorite pics for your special day so we could tell you how much we love you and why......
This is the cutest picture of Jeff, Shauna, and Baby Kason. Shauna is a great mom, just check out her blog and you'll see how much she adores that sweet little boy.

She is the Best Aunt. My kids adore her and Jeff. Ever time Tay sees her she has to get her hair done(of course I can never do it as good as Shauna does) & get her nails painted. The best part is Shauna loves doing it for her.

Tanner man is so attached...He definitely has the most pics with Shauna and Jeff! He can't get enough of them when they are around. I think Tanner Loves Shauna the most though because she is a COUGAR fan!!

I Love Shauna because she Loves my kids almost as much as I do. She's always so willing to help me out, and she would do anything for my kids. This is Shauna with Max the day he was born..I don't know what we would have done without them. We woke them up in the middle of the night with a few false alarms and some scary moments, and then when the time really came at 4am they still took our kids for us. Thanks guys we still owe you...and thanks for the Cafe Rio Shauna, you know how much I love hospital food! We Love you so much...most of all we miss being so close to you. Soak us up some of that St. George sun this summer for us. We really miss it and then move up North would ya? We really miss you three.

I just loved this picture of you and Jeff. So Happy Birthday...Jeff make sure you spoil her rotten on her big day! ( Just trying to hook you up Shauna!)

5 year NICU Reunion!

This was definitely not a planned reunion or anything, in fact we would have rather not been at the hospital under the circumstances, but it was neat for all of us to go back. 5 Years ago at this time we were still in this hospital. Tanner had never actually been back to see where he was born and honestly I wasn't sure I ever wanted to go back to this place. We spent the first month and a half of Tanner's life driving to and from this hospital everyday. Some times it was twice a day. Looking back I don't know how we did it, but it just reiterates that "you would do anything for your child". And we would definitely do anything for any of our children.

The whole fam in front of the NICU sign. When we got in the elevator to go see my Dad I saw the button to the 4th floor and my heart instantly jumped. I really didn't know if I ever wanted to visit that floor again. It was bitter-sweet for me...I am so grateful for the great care this hospital gave Tanner. The Doctors and Nurses were so wonderful, but I guess I didn't embrace the whole experience like I should have. I just lived through it and never wanted to go back. It was the hardest thing I've ever done...too many emotions I guess. I just kept reminding my self that the Lord does not give us anything we can't handle. He Loves us too much, and Tanner's Miracle is evidence of how much He loves this little boy.

Tanner and Cody looking through the front doors into the NICU. Tanner wasn't sure what to think about it. Cody just kept holding him so tight and tried to explain everything to him. I think the hardest part for Cody was trying to keep his emotions under control while he explained everything. He's such a strong Dad.

This is where everyone who goes in to visit has to scrub down...we spent a lot of time at this sink, but we got pretty good at it.

All the kids took a little scrubber as a souvenir.

Cody showed Tanner the issolette he was in after birth, but Tanner didn't like it. It kind of scared him to think he had been in one of those. Like his mom there, a little claustrophobic!

They were just finishing this fountain and pond while we were here. It was a great refuge from being in the hospital all day. The kids loved playing down here.

Max would have jumped in for a swim if we would have let him.

It ended up being a great day and a neat experience for all of us. Tanner is evidence to us that the Lord hears and answers our prayers. We all love him so much and we are so glad that he is here with us. We Love you Tanner Man!

While we were in the waiting room I saw some one who looked really familiar walk by us so I elbowed Cody in the side and he turned to look and sure enough it was Elder L. Tom Perry. He stopped to talk with us and made sure Dad was OK and then he spoke directly to the little boys about being future missionaries. They each got to shake his hand and he and his wife were so kind to them. It was a neat experience for them and us. After he walked away one of my little nieces said to me, "Who was that?" I half laughed at the innocence of a child, but it made me realize that we need to make sure our children know and recognize the brethren. They are such an important part of our lives.

Happy Father's Day!

I just wanted to wish a wonderful Dad a Happy, Happy Father's Day!

Cody Thanks for all you do for these kids!

It's pretty obvious how much these kids adore their Dad!

Our Father's Day was spent pretty different than most, but we were so happy to be able to spend it with Grandpa Steve! Grandpa got sick pretty sick last Tuesday and we all thought maybe he had the flu, but when things took a turn for the worse we took him to the hospital. Hours later and after a ton of blood work, an EKG, an MRI, and numerous other testing they decided he was in no immediate danger and sent him home. Friday he did seem a little better and then took another turn for the worse. This time we opted to take him to McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden. They did a spinal tap and a chest x-ray and found both pneumonia and spinal meningitis. Luckily it was only viral meningitis and no one else has been infected so far. Gramps got to come home yesterday and we are so glad he is back and feeling better. We Love you Grandpa & hope you had a Happy Father's Day!

Due to airborne precautions we had to wear a mask in Grandpa's room....the kids thought this was pretty cool though.

Gramps opening his Father's Day gifts.

Kaysha, Kaleigh, Kinsley, and Tay hanging out with Grandpa.

Brett decided to put Grandpa out of his misery ...OK he was just pretending, Right Brett!?!

Grandpa was just milking it for all it's worth. He got Brett to rub his head and I was at the foot of his bed rubbing his feet. Anyone who knows how much I love feet knows that was service at it's greatest. Love you Dad!!

This was too cute not to post. Dylan who doesn't quite walk yet had a blast pushing Max down the halls....

...and then he would try to wake him up. There was no waking this kid, he was out!

Happy BirthdayJamie!

Today is my cute new sister-in-law Jamie's Birthday!
Happy, Happy Birthday Jamie!!
Tys since were not there to Party with you, make this a great day for her. The kids found what they think is the perfect card for you so we'll get it in the mail soon. Sorry were a little slow. Jamie have a great day and know we love you and are thinking of you! Here are a few of my fav pics of you for your special day.

These two make the cutest couple. Way to go Tys...you picked a great girl!

Group HUG! Jamie with Taygan, Kinsley, and Kaleigh. Jamie is such a cute aunt. These little girls look up to her so much and love her tons. Tay can get kind of clingy with Jamie, so Jamie I hope your enjoying your little break and prepare yourself for when you come back...You are coming back aren't you?!

Jam and Tyson had their big day in March...Jamie made the most beautiful Bride! Once again all the little girls couldn't get enough of her.

The Boy's Birthday Parties!

Maxxy's big day started with balloons and the kids screaming HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Then Grandpa Steve took everyone to Arby's(per Conner's request) for lunch.

Here's some of the Norton gang. It was a rainy day today so we had to bag the snow cones and swimming. We did get to go to Tanner's first t-ball game in the rain. Max really like that and wanted to be part of the team....after that....present time!

Maxxy in his new little cars chair opening his present form G-pa Con and G-ma Vicki. The cute little card talked to him and told him Happy Birthday. That was by far his favorite.

How many kids does it take to open one present?!?

Maxxy freaked out when he opened this one...he kept yelling CAR...CAR...CAR! Thanks Doug, Val, Taya,Paysie, and Jaxon.

We tryed to get Max to show us his cool new shirt from G-pa and G-ma Norton but it ended up here instead.

G-ma Kathy got Max his own bag of baked Lay's...they are his fav. and she gets sick of him eating all hers and hauling the bag around her house. He's definately not sharing this bag.

Cake time...

It took Max a couple trys and and a few kids holding on to him( so he didn't fall in the cake) to blow this big candle out.

Yummmm....the icing from the candle. We didn't realize he had bitten the bottom off the candle until he started spitting out the wax.

A nice big piece of LIGHTNING cake and icecream on the side...what could be better? Thank you everyone who came and those of you that sent gifts. Max had a great day. It's hard to believe he's already "2"! Then again, actions do speak louder than words.

Tanner's Party Time....

All the kids eating pizza at the park.

Tanner's Icecream cake. G-pa Con and G-ma Vicki sure hooked him up with his fav Ice cream cake from DQ!

Jaxon, Tanner, and Conner enjoying their cake...

... I think Conner enjoyed it too much. Look at that face and he's almost eight!

Tanner is quite excited to open this haul of presents!

In answer to the question I asked earlier..."How many kids does it take to open a present"? Answer: "All of them at the party"!!

All Tanner asked for this year was a BYU hat and a BYU jersey. Uncle Jeffy has rubbed off on him.

So Jeffy this picture is dedicated to you. Wish you could have been here too. Thanks Shauna and Baby Kason for making the trip over.

OK so these next two pics are to demonstrate the "White Trash" coming out in us. Baby's with a brown bottle...

... And mom's with babies tipping back the brown bottle too! Uncle Brett got my kids hooked on that apple beer and the root beer and cream soda in the bottles. Just looks a little funny. Dylan, you look toooo cute and Shauna thanx for the great pic.

Thank you again to everyone who helped us celebrate and also to those of you who sent gifts. Jamie and Tyson thanks for thinking of him even though your so far away. Tanner now has enough money to buy yet another Light Sabor. We miss you two and hope all is going well. We Love you all so much and we'll see you all again in July for Conner's Baptism!
